Double Bird

The babies had a touch of the jealousies when Matt took Ava to a Daddy Daughter night. I told them no worries because they got to stay home and make turkey's with me! We were just finishing when Ava came home and sidled into the picture.

They also got to make Oreo turkey's at Grayson's November pack meeting.
The leader goes all out every month. All. Out.

Grayson's den mother works diligently with the boys and before I knew it, Grayson had earned his Bear. Normally the boys get their face painted like the animal they receiving; Gray will have none of it.

More double birds...
Matt cooked his Thanksgiving bird the traditional way by browning it in a bag in the oven. Mark deep fried his in the back yard. When it came out it looked burnt to a crisp because it was blacker than an ace of spades. No need to fear, the inside was not an ace of spades.

It has taken some blood sweat and tears for Matt and I to attempt to get on the same page for holiday celebrations. Hopefully each year we get one step closer. In the end I realize I've got to do what I've got to do, how I like to do it! I am what I am. Or as Popeye says, "I yam what I yam." By the way, the yams along with everything else tasted delicious! We had pies coming out of our ears the days following, and who wouldn't want that?

Cabbage centerpieces from where else but Better Homes and Gardens. While I went grocery shopping for last minute items I put Katrina and Mallerie in charge of hollowing out the cabbages so a jar could fit inside. When I walked in I wondered who had left their week old sweaty socks on the heat vent stinking up the entire house. It was the cabbage! I wondered if we would be able to use them at all, but once the excess wast thrown OUTSIDE (even the bunnies were like, "I don't think so!") and the flowers were placed inside the smell went away.
