12 Days of Christmasing with Callie 2021

#1

I came home one day to see that she and Gloria were decorating the white tree in her room. I've had this tree for a good 15 years. (I think this is its farewell year.)

We were thrifting one Saturday when I spotted this chair. It is wide enough that we both at side-by-side comfortably. We didn't really consider buying it till we ran into some neighbors who were at the thrift store to look for something to re-do the daughter's room. Callie and I looked at each other and knew, "We want the chair." We hurried and bought it and had it in the back of the van before anyone else could snag it. However, she never gets to sit in it because Poe is in it 24/7.

We didn't go to our annual gingerbread house day at the rec this year, however, Graham made a gingerbread house at Young Men's and Callie made one at a friend's. It looked adorable but the sweetness of it about gave me a headache!

Who would have guessed that we would be back at the Marriott in Hawaii this December as well? This time the tree in the foyer was decorated in blues. We were glad to see the sea creatures still made the cut. And how great is a STARFISH star!?

#5
Getting our favorite, Ono Yo in Kahuku

#6
Callie babysat for us while we went to dinner with Matt's Bishopric and clerks and wives. Oh wait, she doesn't need a babysitter cause she's the baby!

#7
Stuffing Christmas cards for me.

#8
Making labels for cookies in case someone drops by…

#9
Make sugar cookies with peppermint frosting before watching Home Alone.

#10
Instead of running around crazy delivering treats, we decided to choose just a few causes where we could actually make a difference. We put together treat bags for Katrina's students in Texas. The stories she shared with us of them receiving them were truly touching.
#11
After a long day of errands, visiting Grandma, and trying to find jeans that fit Callie, we tried out a new treat. Avacado ice cream at Sweet Rolled Tacos!

Setting up the Christmas train as Poe looks on.

Let's make it a baker's dozen.
Door bell-ditching with Graham. This tree on Center Street out-shown the City tree on Main! The kids delivered Little Debbie Christmas Trees with a note, "Because your tree has brought us so much joy, we wanted to give some trees to bring YOU joy!"
