SpierMATT! May 20, 2014

Chocolate Silk and Peanut Butter Pie to celebrate Matt turning 43!
I tried Sadie's chocolate silk recipe from Thanksgiving. It had me stumped since it calls for eggs but no bake time. We justified it because after you make it you freeze it. This pie is worth any risk.
Mmm mmm mmmm.

Graham and Callie wanted to come to Walmart with me after school to get something for Dad for his birthday. They saw this spiderman piñata and just knew he would love it! They enjoyed filling it and wrapping other gifts. Kids do love a party don't they?
Mallerie stepped up and really had some opinions about the piñata breaking. Who knew? She was adamant everyone be blindfolded with, NO peeking!!!

We tried it on the deck first but after a few whacks the rod it was tied to came crashing down.
We moved it over to the swing set. Mallerie took charge of who's turn it was. She spun the kids until they couldn't tell up from down!
Eager anticipation...
In the end it was Mallerie who broke it open. Go figure! She actually made the whole event very jovial. I can see why she is always the life of the party wherever she goes.

We all went to The Amazing Spiderman 2 and though it was action packed we were bummed. Who wants to leave the theatre that way? The maddening thing is, there was such a cool way it could have ended! Ask me sometime.

Spidermatt, SpiderMatt,
Does whatever a spider can't
Spins a tale, any size,
Catches things just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes the SpiderMatt.

SpiderMatt, SpiderMatt
Friendly neighborhood SpiderMatt
Wealth and fame
He's ingnored
Action is his reward.
Look Out!
Here comes the SpiderMatt.

To him, life is a great big bang up
Whenever there's a hang up
You'll find the Spider Matt!
