Thankfulness Nov 26th 2015

A Thank you card from Graham:

New life was breathed into the toys after I washed, organized, and sorted them. The card was an unexpected surprise.

YUBA LAKE!

We have taken turns over the years being in charge of Thanksgiving when it is my side of the family's turn and this time Ashley and Cade spear headed a trip to a lake house in Yuba. Not everyone could make the trek, but the house was plenty full! AND plentiful!
The house was great, with stunning views of the lake and plenty of room for the kids to run around.

The evening before, we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday, which had been just the day before. Cade and Ashley had fun games for us to play to commemorate her life....and cake!

It was nice to sit around and visit. My parents had just returned from a trip of a lifetime to Rio! We watched their slideshow and heard their stories. Then we each took turns using blue tooth on our phones to do our own slide show of what has been going on in each of our families. It was a great way to catch up.
The baby boys are entertainment alone!

The next morning the kids sat surprisingly reverent while Granny and Grandpa led us in a devotional.

Afterwards it was great that some of the guys took the kiddos on a hike so that us women folk could get busy in the kitchen. When the kids came back you can bet we had lots of helpers.

Jon still lets Lindsey pick out his clothes...

Cade and Ashley tried their hand at the Traeger and smoked a Turkey!

John cooked his inside, so between the two we had plenty of bird.

The givers,

 The other givers.

Ashley put the older girls to work assembling the centerpieces.

We had plenty of everything...except drinks...
Giuseppe joined us for his first Taylor Thanksgiving!

Successsssssssssss.
