Cloudy with a Chance of Vomit 12/19/10

This was supposed to be my day. MY DAY. As any mother would know sometimes before the holidays it is most helpful to have the house to yourself to get things done. It has become somewhat of a tradition for the kids to have a Daddy Fun Day while Big Momma stays home. I kept little Callie who is no bother here, but a bit of a bother elsewhere. Around the later part of the afternoon Matt called to say he was on his way home with Graham. Waa-wa-waaaaaaa.
Here’s how it had played out: As soon as they were out of the canyon, without warning, Graham threw up all over himself. Matt used wipes and a baggie to clean him up as best he could then stopped at Kid to Kid to get a change of clothes for him. (The change of clothes was for Graham not Matt). From there they went bowling at Fat Cats (at this point Matt had chalked up the incident to car sickness). Graham threw up again. Matt made the judgment that now the second pair of clothes were worse off than the first so he changed him back into the first set of vomit clothes. Later at Movies 8 as they were going in to see Cloudy with a Chance of…Meatballs the third incident happened. At that point Matt left the others to watch the movie and brought Graham home to me. He was pretty easy to have around since he was definitely sick and he just slept. He did have a couple more incidents with throw up that night though so I stayed home with him the next day during church. I practically had to play paper-rock-scissors with Matt to see who would stay. Rock usually wins. Apparently I rock.
